Allen Bain, Adjunct Professor
ALLEN BAIN is the founder and a producer at The 7th Floor, a leading independent production company based in New York.
Most recently, he produced “The Missing Person” starring Michael Shannon and Amy Ryan which premiered at Sundance in 2009 and will be released theatrically this fall. Currently, he is in post-production on VFX Oscar-winner Robert Legato’s directorial debut “Choose” starring Kevin Pollak, Katheryn Winnick and Bruce Dern.
Bain is currently in development on “Revenge of the Green Dragons” based on a New Yorker article by NY Times best-selling author, Fredric Dannen. The film is to be directed by Andrew Lau (Infernal Affairs).
Prior producing credits include; the Sundance winner “Manito”, South By Southwest audience favorite “Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story”, “ROOM” which was well received at both the 2005 Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals, and “The Cake Eaters” with Kristen Stewart by Director Mary Stuart Masterson.
Bain was nominated for the 2006 IFP “Producer to Watch” award.
